When should a commercial driver use high-beam headlights?
Correct answer: A – Whenever their use is safe and lawful
The Nebraska CDL manual advises using high beams when doing so is safe and legal because they provide greater sight distance. Drivers must switch to low beams before their lights create glare for approaching or preceding traffic. Never retaliate against a driver who fails to dim by turning on your own high beams.
