Before backing a trailer, which safety check should you perform?
Correct answer: A – Inspect the intended path and clearances, then use mirrors on both sides
Look at the intended line of travel before beginning to back. Get out and walk around the vehicle, checking side and overhead clearance in and near the path. While backing, move slowly and frequently check the outside mirrors on both sides. Get out and inspect the path again whenever you are unsure.
